Pathways
Students from a diverse range of non-English speaking backgrounds are interested in coming to Australia to study English for use in a broad range of contexts, including academic pursuits, social facility, and entry into the workforce. This course aims to develop students’ general English language skills so that they can communicate confidently and competently whatever their objectives may be. Students undertaking the course can prepare for further study in Australia including in the Australian VET sector. Student can also enrol in our EAP Program for meeting Higher Education/Tertiary sector English entry requirements.
Entry Requirements
All language learners are enrolled according to the outcome of a placement test conducted on campus, to establish the appropriate level of class for them to commence their study in order to support their specific learning needs.
- All students must be aged 18 years
- Students must have an Upper Intermediate level of English (approximately 5.0/5.5 IELTS or equivalent) to be eligible for this course
Mode of Delivery: Face to Face on campus
Students are recommended to complete a minimum of 4 hours of independent study and homework per week.
Duration: 10 weeks with 2 Modules
- Module 1 (Study Period): Weeks 1-5;
- Module 2 (Study Period): Weeks 6-10.
Entry Level: Upper Intermediate (approximately 5.0/5.5 IELTS or equivalent)
Exit Level: Advanced (approximately 6.0/6.5 IELTS or equivalent)
